About - Sing For The Cure, Benefit concert for the Calgary Breast Health Program

THE CAUSE

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among Canadian women.
EVERY WEEK in Alberta, an average of 38 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer and 8 women will die.
It is estimated that in this year alone, 5,400 women and 50 men will die from breast cancer in Canada.

OUR FUNDRAISING GOAL
We are asking for your support to raise $60,000.00 for the purchase of a state-of-the-art surgical table for the Calgary Breast Health Program. The Amsco 3085 SP Surgical Table provides ultra-precise tabletop articulation and exceptional access to the patient by the surgical team. 100% of the net proceeds from this benefit concert will go towards our fundraising goal.

Note: In addition to thousands of volunteer hours, the two organizing choirs are contributing $10,000.00 to cover most of the concert's expenses.

THE EVENT
With full support from the Calgary Health Trust (Charitable Registration #: 893834697RR0001), Sing for the Cure will be presented by the Calgary Men's Chorus and the Savridi Singers. Sing for the Cure is an original collection of 11 songs dedicated to breast cancer victims, survivors, their families and friends. The songs are based on the writings and poetry of people affected by breast cancer.
